You know, video games may be a tapped market, but there’s one aspect of the market that isn’t really acknowledged often: the ladies.
Oh, they’re out there alright. And they’re beautiful. And they don’t just play The Sims or the latest Disney franchise. No, these ladies play the same games men do, and sometimes they play them better. And now, they have their own voice.
Founded in 2010 as a blog by female gamers for female gamers, the Femme Gamers have been seen covering events such as NY Comic Con, Starcraft Tournaments, and The PlayStation Lounge. The idea behind their online identity was to blend strong technological elements with feminine beauty. Alan even designed the mobile version of their online blog, complete with iPhone home screen icon. It isn’t “girly-girl”—it’s Girl Power.
